Although they've since moved on.which may be the bigger question to ask your self as far as "end goals" go. Both those guys are on here enough and could give you some recent/direct feedback directly on an SH XT. And for stg2 you could ask and get his take. Just off the top of my head i know has tested out stg1 on his SH for a while, hit him up. It might be best to get feedback from people that have very recently or currently used one or the other for a decent amount of time. Theres a difference between an OEM tune and a 50 burble tune add on etune. And i mention all this as that's what i got from your post to be your end goal as well, rather then just seeing,"ohh yea!! 250whp!!!" number type stuff. I started with torqued performance and it was a 9 revision process. Not just like SMACK!, then meh?.that i had experienced earlier. But the Etune on stg2 from Ray not only felt smooth and not jerky/jumpy.but had the best pull and delivery throughout the rev range. Then OTS stage 2 felt more jumpy.but less lifeless, had some additional prolonged pull through the revs. IIRC the oem setup felt really jumpy, and then lifeless after a while. As i was after a better feel/delivery/overall sensation what have you.then just a shear peak WHP/TQ #.so an Etune seemed the way to go as it would be for my exact car on road going conditions. But i was only on that map for a day or two.as my plan from the get go was to get an Etune from. Now is that extra jump worth it vs the $300-700 you may spend on a DP? That's up to you.įor me it was (but keep in mind i knew i'd need one down the road for future plans.so maybe it wasn't much of a true "decision"?), so i went with the DP/stg2 route and just used the base map from Cobb on my AP. As with the stage 2 there's more power, so it's naturally gonna feel/be quicker. then it just comes down to additional cost of DP imo. Not sure how maps come from them, like if there's any revisions, logging, etc as i think they also do Etuning.are you doing that or just the OTS ones?īut assuming the price for the OTS tune for stg1 is the same as stg2. IIRC they send you of the shelf maps that you can load up either with romraider/tactrix cable.or a Cobb AP right? Which route are you going? While i don't think i went stage 1 at all, cant remember.maybe for like a day or two waiting for the weekend to install my DP, but maybe that says something in itself? Here's my thoughts.
